A story needs compelling characters. Here are 3 things to consider while writing compelling characters in your novel :

1) Give your characters a backstory. This creates an emotional connection between the reader and the character, which in turn makes the story more interesting.

2) Write what terrifies your character. When you put fear into your character's body and mind, it will make their struggle or problem seem real to the reader.

3) Create flaws for each of your characters- everyone has weaknesses and it is often those weaknesses that make them most relatable
